1. Who we are
Absolute Mind Booking is the online consultation booking service operated by Absolute Mind (Paula Sweet), a hypnotherapy and counselling practice based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. Absolute Mind is the data controller for the personal information you provide through the service. You can contact us using the details in section 10.
2. What we collect
When you book a consultation, we collect:
- your name and email address;
- your phone number, if you choose to provide it;
- anything you write in the notes field (optional) and the consultation type, date and time you book;
- basic technical data needed to run the service securely (for example, a strictly necessary cookie used only for the practitioner login).
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not collect payment details (consultations are free).
3. How and why we use it
We use your information to arrange and manage your consultation — to confirm your booking, send you confirmations and any reschedule or cancellation updates, add the appointment to our calendar and invite you to it, and to contact you about your appointment. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request prior to any working arrangement, and our legitimate interest in running the booking service. We do not use your details for marketing.
4. Sensitive information
Please share only what you’re comfortable with at this stage. If you choose to include information about your health or reasons for seeking support in the notes field, you consent to us processing that information so we can prepare for your consultation. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the booking service on our behalf: our website hosting and database providers, our email provider (used to send your confirmation), and — where enabled — Google Calendar, so your appointment is added to the calendar and you are sent an invitation. These providers process data under appropriate agreements and only as needed to provide their service.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU adequacy or standard contractual clauses) to protect your information.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your booking information only for as long as needed to manage your consultation and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. If you cancel or ask us to remove your details, we will delete them promptly unless we are required to keep them by law.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version shown here, with its “last updated” date, is the one that applies.
